Synopsis:

When haughty silk tycoon Li Qing Liu meets Long Ao Yi, the beautiful rough and tumble gang leader of the Longzhu Clan, the scene is set for a collision between the upper class/upper jiu liu and lower class/lower jiu liu of Silver City.  

As Li Qing Liu and Long Ao Yi join hands as allies to investigate the theft of some precious gold thread and then continue to uncover various conspiracies together, their mutual antagonism wanes and they develop feelings for each other.  But the path of true love never runs smooth - to complicate matters, Prince Zhao falls in love with Long Ao Yi at first sight and begins a determined pursuit for her affections and Li Qing Liu's business partner, the beautiful but Machiavellian Du Xiao Xian, schemes to secure Li Qing Liu for herself.  The plot thickens further when Li Qing Liu's true identity is revealed, while Long Ao Yi becomes embroiled in palace politics in a quest for vengeance...

First thoughts:

🐼: Ah, it's Bai Lu in a historical drama! Loved her ever since watching her as the kickass female general Huo Xuan in Untouchable Lovers and the equally kickass demoness Lu Zhao Yao in The Legends.  I haven't seen Lai Yi in a main male lead role before, but recall him as the god of war's lead disciple in Three Lives Three Worlds, Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms. This should be good!
