In which the heroine's dorm 2 roomies (hilariously) vie for changes to her novel
Xue Wen Xi (🐼: and her overactive imagination) is busy dreaming up more scenes for her novel "Where Love Begins". Both her roomies are obsessively interested in how they are portrayed. Lei Ze Xin even tries to get his hands on copies of Volume 1 and 2 to see how he's depicted in those, much to Yu Le Xuan's amusement.

They comes up with the idea of further sleuthing, this time in the Interrogation Hall, but the discussion is interrupted when Principal Feng shows up. He "confiscates" Volumes 1 and 2 (🐼for some fun reading of his own). Principal Feng remarks that the boys had done a good job cleaning the "Diligence Pavilion", including cleaning a locked box, and is pleased when they say they haven't looked inside.
Lei Ze Xin wonders why Principal Feng hasn't asked how they managed to clean the inside of a locked box, but there's no point looking a gift horse (or headmaster) in the mouth.
As Xue Wen Xi is once again in dire need of funds for her family, Yu Le Xuan suggests that she write Volume 5, and gives her an advance. However, novel writing is fast becoming a dangerous past time. When Teacher Li discovers scholars reading copies of "Where Love Begins" he makes sure the unfortunate guys can't sit for at least a week.

Meanwhile, Lei Ze Xin and Yu Le Xuan sleuth "clean" the Interrogation Hall, domain of Teacher Li. The two find a secret compartment in the floor, and a clue. Seems the fugitive may be at Lin Village. But Teacher Li also doesn't appear to be what he seems...
In dorm 2, Xue Wen Xi pulls some late nights to write her novel.
Her roomies are so invested in their respective parts in the novel that they also wake up to sneak/binge read the draft of Volume 5, temporarily forgetting their mutual animosity in the shared need to know how they are depicted in this volume (🐼:😆)
Volume 5 does not impress them though, as it seems that both the knight errant and the handsome prince get broken hearts.
Lei Ze Xin rather hilariously confronts Xue Wen Xi about the downturn in "his" fortunes: "You've got to change this and clear my name. Have the other dude killed off by being squashed by a cow." (🐼:one of my favourite lines in this drama so far😂).

She finds this very funny, and when she laughs, Lei Ze Xin tells her that it's no laughing matter and she may also find herself squashed by a cow if she's not careful. (🐼:😅).
Feng Cheng Jun also gives his 2 cents worth to Xue Wen Xi. In his opinion, Volume 5 is too focused on romance. She's amused he sneak read it, but also exasperated, saying romance is what sells.

Ep 11: Tug of War over Volume 5

Her amusement doesn't last long though because she can't get any sleep - Feng Cheng Jun and Lei Ze Xin start a literal tug of war over Volume 5. In exasperation, she tells them they should each write a version, and she will combine their efforts. Fine, they say. So petty for grown men, she thinks. (🐼: true, but oh so funny to watch) Yu Le Xuan sees Miss Mu, who is pining for "Wen Bin". He asks if she will write a forward for the upcoming volume of "Where Love Begins" and she agrees, but asks that he help her invite "Wen Bin" to her upcoming embroidered ball dance.
Meanwhile Han Sheng Zhi gets his Student Council cronies to investigate who is behind the writing of Volume 5, and they search dorm 2 and find it there...
Xue Wen Xi is summonsed to see Teacher Li - Feng Cheng Jun and Lei Ze Xin go with her. Principal Feng is also there, so it looks like poop might hit the fan.
Thoughts
🐼: This one is great! Can't stop chuckling over the "have the other guy get squashed by a cow" comment from Lei Ze Xin 😆. 2L syndrome alive and well. Also the dorm room 2 boy bickering is hilarious 😂
